Abstract
In this study, 259 play therapists who are currently working in the field of play therapy in the field were classified into groups according to their perfectionism and professional developmental levels. Analysis was then conducted to examine any, the differences in psychological burnout according to each group type, and the data was then verified. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 26.0 program. As a result of the study, first, it was confirmed that there was a significant correlation between the research variables. Second, as a result of analyzing the clusters according to the level of perfectionism and professional development of the play therapists (beginners and experts), three clusters were identified and classified. Third, the differences in total and sub-factors of psychological burnout were confirmed between the groups classified according to the perfectionism and professional developmental level of the play therapists (classified as beginners and experts). In this way, this study found that the difference in psychological burnout by cluster formed according to perfectionism and professional developmental level is that the combination of high perfectionism and low professional developmental level leaves the therapists very vulnerable to psychological burnout, and even with the same level of perfectionism, the level of professional development was higher. Accordingly, it was confirmed that they experienced low levels of psychological burnout. This is meaningful in understanding how multidimensional variables formed by the combination of perfectionism and developmental level can affect psychological burnout.
